Edi Rama: “Arbëri” winery promotes Albanian wine abroad for 25 years

Prime Minister Edi Rama highlighted the Kantina Arbëri winery. He said it has represented Albanian wine in international markets for 25 years. The family-run business in Mirditë produces autochthonous wines. International media have rated its wines highly and increased its global visibility.

Rama said public support helped expand the investment. Funding covered agrotourism facilities, wine storage areas and tasting spaces. Support from IPARD financed vineyard expansion and agricultural machinery. These investments strengthened production capacity.

The vineyards in Bukëmirë, Mirditë follow European standards. The winery cultivates Albanian varieties such as Kallmet and Shesh i Bardhë. The government also promotes agrotourism through soft loans and guarantee schemes. The aim is to modernize farms and boost local economies.
