Emanuele Giordano, Scholar Dedicated to Preserving Arbëresh Heritage

Emanuele Giordano dedicates his life to preserving Arbëresh heritage. He is born on 27 June 1920 in Frascineto, Calabria. He studies philosophy and theology in Rome and develops strong academic expertise.

He becomes a leading voice in philology and literature. He writes major works such as “Fjalori i Arbëreshvet t’Italisë” (1963) and “Alfabetizzazione Arbëreshe” (2000). He documents and preserves the Arbëresh language through his research and publications.

He directs the magazine “Zëri i Arbëreshvet” starting in 1972. He collaborates with well-known Albanian literary figures, including Ernest Koliqi. He builds a cultural bridge between Albania and the Arbëresh communities in Italy.

He passes away on 17 February 2015, leaving a lasting legacy in language preservation and cultural scholarship.
