Emergency teams respond to large fire in Tirana complex

Fire broke out in a residential building near “Farmacia 10” in Tirana on Rruga e Dibrës. The fire started on the first floor. It quickly spread across the building’s facade. Flames engulfed the structure.

Firefighters evacuated residents using ladders. Police secured the area with safety cordons.

Emergency teams transported several residents suffering from smoke inhalation to the University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa”.

Firefighting teams responded on the ground. They used multiple vehicles and water resources. They also deployed Cougar helicopters to support the operation. Ambulance teams treated the injured.

Authorities mobilized firefighters, police officers, and civil emergency units. Neighboring municipalities also sent support teams.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that armed forces joined the operation. They deployed fire trucks and personnel. The water utility also supported the response with tankers.

Officials placed all structures on full alert. They continue to monitor the situation until it is fully under control.
