Entrepreneurs Promote Albanian Tourism from Vlora to Lura, Rama Highlights Projects

Prime Minister Edi Rama hosts entrepreneur Ergys Vladi on the “Flasim” podcast, where they discuss initiatives promoting Albanian tourism from Vlora to Lura.

Vladi presents the “Leaders on Tour” community, which connects entrepreneurs and CEOs through sports activities and networking events.

He says the platform brings together around 2,000 members and aims to reach 10,000 members by 2030. He highlights Lura as a natural destination with improved infrastructure and easier access.

Vladi explains that the initiative starts with hiking activities in Tirana and expands into yoga, padel, volleyball, and other sports.

He says early environmental clean-up actions evolve into tourism experiences that attract visitors, including ambassadors.

Roksana Novak from Poland shares her experience living in Vlora for 16 years. She describes how she moves from Italy to Albania and later builds her professional and tourism career.

Novak works at the University of Vlora, creates a tourism website visited by around one million Polish users, and publishes guides promoting Albania.

Agim Prebibaj from Tropoja describes his return from abroad and his investment in tourism infrastructure in Curraj i Epërm, where he opens a campsite in 2014.

He says the area attracts thousands of visitors despite infrastructure challenges and growing interest from investors.

Rama highlights government investments in tourism infrastructure across the country, including Vlora, Lura, Nikaj-Mërtur, and other mountain areas.

He emphasizes projects in Radhimë, the Vlora waterfront, and the development of the Vlora Airport.

Rama also discusses the “Mountain Package,” which simplifies development procedures for residents without property documentation.

He says the government supports well-structured tourism and sports projects through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

Rama highlights the rapid growth of agritourism and says Albania follows successful development models.

He stresses that high-end tourism investments benefit the wider economy, citing regional examples such as Montenegro.

Rama also mentions major projects in Zvërnec and Sazan, designed to combine luxury tourism with environmental sustainability and cultural development.
