German newspaper Bild has highlighted Bayern Munich talent Erblin Osmani after his decision to join the Kosova national team. The 17-year-old had previously represented Germany at youth level. In January, he played two friendly matches for Germany Under-17 against Portugal. Kosova coach Franco Foda has now included Osmani in his squad for the upcoming matches.
Bild describes Osmani as one of Bayern Munich’s young talents. He made his Bundesliga debut against Union Berlin in March at 16 years and 305 days. The appearance made him one of the youngest players to represent the Bavarian club. According to Bild, Osmani has also signed a long-term contract with Bayern Munich. He currently plays mainly for the club’s youth teams.
Meanwhile, Bild notes that the call-up from Kosova does not yet make Osmani’s international decision irreversible. However, his inclusion in Foda’s squad represents his first concrete step towards representing Kosova. Osmani has already arrived in Prishtina and publicly expressed pride in his decision. He is expected to feature for Kosova in the upcoming Nations League matches.
