Ervin Demo inspected works on the Shkëmbi–Kala road in Berat. The project aims to create a ring route around the historic area of Kala–Goricë–Mangalem.

The road stretches 1.3 km. It will become an attractive walking route for visitors and nature lovers. The project improves access to the city’s historic neighborhoods.

Demo said the investment improves conditions for both residents and tourists. He explained that the project builds sidewalks on one side of the road. It also installs lighting, signage, and safety elements.

Work continues on retaining and protective walls. The project also includes road infrastructure upgrades, water and sewage networks, and public lighting.

Demo said the project improves daily life for local residents. It also creates easier and safer access to the castle area, making movement more comfortable and attractive for visitors.
