Albania will host the European Socca Championship for the first time. The event marks an important moment for minifootball in the country. Jurgen Demneri called it a major achievement and a great chance to promote Albania internationally.
Albania joined Socca in 2023. The team reached the World Cup quarterfinals and the European Championship semifinals. Organizers aim for another strong result at home.
Preparations started six months ago. Organizers are building a stadium and creating a fan zone. The new stadium will have 2,500 seats. Matches will take place at the “House of Football” from morning to evening.
Twenty-eight teams will compete. They will play in seven groups of four. Strong football nations will join, including England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
For five days, Albania will become the center of European minifootball. Demneri said winning the hosting rights is a big recognition for the country.
The draw will take place on Wednesday at the “House of Football.” Federation president Armand Duka will attend. Organizers invited media to support and promote the event.
