Ferit Hoxha meets EU rapporteur as support grows for Albania’s EU pat

Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, met with Andreas Schieder during his visit to Brussels.

Hoxha praised Schieder’s work and continued commitment following the recent resolution on Albania adopted by the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs (AFET). He said the report sends a strong and encouraging message in support of Albania’s European Union membership path.

The two officials discussed the progress of Albania’s EU accession negotiations, the importance of maintaining the current pace of reforms and the shared goal of advancing Albania’s European future through a credible, merit-based and forward-looking process.

Hoxha said Albania highly values the role and continued support of members of the European Parliament and all supporters of EU enlargement who believe in a stronger, more united and future-oriented Europe.
