FM Hoxha: Albania enjoys unprecedented international standing

TIRANA, June 30 – Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha said Albania is experiencing one of the most important periods in its foreign policy history and now enjoys its highest level of international respect and credibility.

In a social media post, Hoxha said he reached that conclusion after nearly four months in office. During that period, he met counterparts from European Union member states, regional representatives and international officials. He also attended ministerial meetings, conferences and international forums.

According to Hoxha, Albania has never had a stronger international reputation or a more influential diplomatic voice. He said the country has built solid relations with partners and allies, while international perceptions of Albania have changed significantly.

Meanwhile, Hoxha said every capital he visited reflected the same message. He noted that international partners listen to Albania more closely, treat it with greater respect and increasingly regard it as a reliable partner that contributes to Europe and the region.

In addition, he said Albania’s image is now associated with development, tourism, hospitality, freedom and positive energy. He described this as evidence of the country’s transformation into a more open, competitive and internationally engaged state.

Hoxha said Albania is approaching its strategic goal of European Union membership, which he described as the country’s foremost national project. He stressed that the accession process requires commitment, responsibility and broad public support to turn this historic opportunity into a lasting achievement for future generations.
