Football federation president Armando Duka sets World Cup 2030 target for Albania

TIRANA, May 19 – The president of the Albanian Football Federation, Armando Duka, said Albania aims to reach the World Cup in 2030 during the presentation of the new national team coach Rolando Maran.

Meanwhile, Duka said the national team opens a new cycle with a coach who brings experience and energy. He also underlined that the team targets first place in the Nations League and qualification for Euro 2028, followed by the long-term goal of reaching the World Cup.

In addition, he expressed confidence in coach Rolando Maran and wished him success with the national team. He also referred to Maran’s coaching experience in Serie A and Serie B clubs.

Finally, Duka thanked former coach Sylvinho and his staff for their contribution. He said the previous cycle ended by mutual agreement after an important period for the national team.
