TIRANA, June 15 – French magazine Quartz has listed Albania among the world’s most promising travel destinations and recommends visiting the country before mass tourism expands further.
According to Quartz, Albania has attracted growing international attention thanks to its Adriatic and Ionian coastline, mountain landscapes and lower travel costs compared with other Mediterranean destinations.
The magazine highlights the Albanian Riviera, from Saranda to the Greek border, for its crystal-clear waters, beaches and coastal villages. Quartz also points to Theth and the Albanian Alps as key attractions for mountain tourism.
In addition, the publication praises Albanian gastronomy, including fresh seafood, traditional raki and locally sourced dishes.
Quartz includes Albania alongside Italy, Mexico, Montenegro, Laos, Bhutan, Slovenia, Canada, Greece and Uganda in its list of destinations that travelers should visit before they become heavily crowded.
