Acting Minister of Youth and Sports, Blerim Gashani, hosted an official meeting with the President of the Mediterranean Games and President of the Maltese Olympic Committee, Julian Pace Bonello, as well as the Secretary General of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games (ICMG), Iakovos Filippousis.

The main focus of this high-level meeting was the review of the progress achieved so far, with particular emphasis on the major infrastructure projects expected to be implemented across Kosovo, as well as the strategic importance this investment carries for the country’s international promotion.

During the discussions, Gashani reaffirmed the government’s full commitment to fulfilling all obligations, highlighting the long-term impact that hosting the event will leave behind.

“I remain fully committed, together with the institution I lead, to the successful implementation of this major project, ensuring that the legacy of the 2030 Mediterranean Games will have a long-term impact on the development of sports, youth, and sports infrastructure throughout Kosovo.”

The visit of the ICMG leadership to Kosovo demonstrates that international monitoring and cooperation are progressing steadily toward the year 2030.

The successful implementation of this infrastructure plan will not only position Prishtina as a regional sports hub, but will also provide future generations of Kosovar athletes with facilities and stadiums that meet the highest European standards.
