General’s Beach, Crystal Waters Hidden Among Kavaja’s Rocky Coastline

General’s Beach, located along the Kavaja coastline, offers visitors crystal-clear waters, unique landscapes and a peaceful natural environment.

The beach lies between Durrës and Kavaja and surprises visitors with its rocky coastline, blue sea and green hills, creating a landscape that resembles the southern Albanian Riviera on a smaller scale.

The bay has a perfect horseshoe shape and stretches around 400 meters. Two rocky cliffs protect it from strong winds and large waves, while colorful pebbles along the shore create a unique contrast with the clear waters.

Moreover, the preserved coastal ecosystem hosts various marine species. Sea turtles lay their eggs in the area, while underwater rocks create habitats for many fish species, making the beach a popular destination for snorkeling.

In recent years, General’s Beach has developed with umbrellas, sunbeds, restaurants and eco-friendly accommodation facilities. These improvements have attracted both Albanian visitors and foreign tourists, especially campers from Italy and Germany.

The beach keeps its natural beauty despite tourism growth. Visitors can enjoy clear waters, small rocky shores and panoramic views of the Kavaja coastline.

The road to the beach also offers scenic views of the surrounding villages, forests and hills. Tourists can explore nearby destinations such as Karpen and Qerret, which have also developed into popular summer resorts.

With its combination of nature, adventure and modern services, General’s Beach has become one of the hidden gems of the Kavaja coast.
