Gogu meets Gonzato, focus on strengthening Albania’s justice system

Justice Minister Toni Gogu met EU Ambassador Silvio Gonzato in Tirana. They discussed key challenges facing Albania’s justice system.

They focused on efficiency. They also discussed improving citizens’ access to justice. In addition, they stressed stronger procedural guarantees.

The talks also covered EU support. The European Union will help the judicial system reach these goals. At the same time, both sides highlighted the fight against organized crime and corruption.

Gonzato underlined the ministry’s central role. He said reforms must bring concrete improvements. Moreover, he promised continued EU support. He mentioned dedicated projects. He also stressed close cooperation with justice institutions.
