Gonxhja inspects Jalë and Dhërmi beaches ahead of new tourist season

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja inspected the beaches of Jalë and Dhërmi ahead of the upcoming summer season.

He reviewed readiness on the ground. He said some work and adjustments are still needed.

Moreover, he stressed that local authorities and businesses must ensure clean, orderly and hygienic conditions.

In addition, Gonxhja said beach stations, vessels, marinas, and public beaches are under close inspection.

He also highlighted accommodation structures, licensed lifeguards and service providers as key elements of safety and quality.

Furthermore, he said inspections are being carried out by relevant authorities, including local municipalities, enforcement bodies and border services.

At the same time, he noted that the country is finalizing applications for beach concessions for 2026 and beyond.

Finally, he said coordination is underway to improve cleanliness and formalize coastal activities along the entire shoreline.
