Gonxhja: Now Is the Time to Invest in Albania and Build Sustainable Tourism

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja said today that growing interest from international brands in Albania highlights the country’s tourism potential and investor confidence in the sector’s continued development.

Gonxhja referred to the “Future Hospitality Forum,” which took place in Tirana several days ago. He said Albania has entered a new phase of tourism and hospitality development.

According to the minister, the country now faces a challenge that goes beyond increasing visitor numbers.

“Our goal is to turn this growth into higher quality, stronger standards, professional service, long-term investments and more skilled jobs. At the Future Hospitality Forum, we highlighted the importance of investing in hotel infrastructure as well as human capital. These two elements must move forward together,” Gonxhja said.

The minister also stressed that Albania has reached a key moment for investment. He called for joint efforts to build a tourism sector that remains competitive, high-quality and sustainable.
