Gonxhja: Youth Is a Strategic Priority and the Safest Investment for the Future

Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Blendi Gonxhja meets Tobias Flessenkemper, Director at the Council of Europe’s Directorate for Democracy, in Tirana.

First, they meet during the 42nd Conference of the European Youth Card Association (EYCA), which takes place in Albania for the first time.

The event brings together more than 100 representatives from 30 European countries. It highlights Albania’s growing role in European youth networks and initiatives.

Next, Gonxhja emphasizes that the conference serves as an important platform for dialogue and exchange of experience. It also promotes youth-centered development policies.

In addition, both sides discuss youth empowerment and the expansion of youth mobility across Europe. They also explore ways to deepen cooperation with the Council of Europe.

Furthermore, Gonxhja stresses that youth remains a strategic priority for Albania. He describes it as the safest investment for the country’s future.

Finally, he says Albania aims to expand opportunities for participation, education, mobility, and development for every young person through stronger European partnerships.
