The Albanian government has approved the Hospitality Albania program, which will be managed by the Albanian Investment Corporation.
Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj said the initiative will focus on the management of government villas in Vlorë and Velipojë.
According to Ibrahimaj, the program aims to renovate and use state assets more efficiently. At the same time, it seeks to create greater economic value through cooperation with the private sector.
Furthermore, she stressed that private companies will only participate in the management of state facilities. State ownership of the properties will remain unchanged and will not be transferred to private entities.
In addition, the Council of Ministers’ decision allows the Albanian Investment Corporation to clarify property ownership issues around these sites. This includes resolving cases where public and private property boundaries overlap.
As a result, the government hopes to support the further development of the program while ensuring more effective use of public assets.
