Albania is advancing its legal framework to support a greener and more sustainable economy through ecodesign, as part of its efforts to align with European Union legislation.
As part of the European Integration Partnership Platform, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy held a meeting with the Ministry of Economy and Innovation. The institutions presented and discussed the new legal framework for ecodesign.
According to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, the initiative supports Albania’s commitments under Chapter 15, “Energy.”
The new framework aims to bring Albanian legislation closer to EU standards. It also seeks to promote more sustainable products and encourage more efficient use of resources and energy.
Meanwhile, the initiative supports Albania’s broader efforts to build a greener and more sustainable economy.
The Ministry said that institutions will continue their dialogue and cooperation to advance the European integration process.
Furthermore, the authorities aim to support innovation, improve resource efficiency and promote sustainable economic development.
Through the new ecodesign framework, Albania seeks to combine EU integration with its transition toward a greener, more innovative and sustainable economy.
