TIRANA, July 17 – Igli Hasani, head of the Albanian Parliament’s Permanent Delegation to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Parliamentary Assembly, visited Ottawa, Canada, from July 13 to 15 for an event organized by the Parliamentary Assembly in cooperation with the Parliament of Canada.
During the visit, Hasani met Canadian lawmakers, government officials and security experts. They discussed the latest developments across the Euro-Atlantic area. They also reviewed support for Ukraine, hybrid and cyber threats, and the Arctic’s growing strategic importance to Alliance security. Meanwhile, participants exchanged views on the Alliance’s key priorities and future challenges.
In addition, the visit strengthened inter-parliamentary cooperation among Allied countries and supported closer coordination on shared security priorities. Albania also reaffirmed its commitment to peace and stability across the Euro-Atlantic area, in line with its obligations and priorities within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
