Heatwave Sweeps Across Albania, Health Ministry Issues Safety Guidelines

The heatwave affecting Albania in recent days has brought high temperatures across the country, raising concerns about the impact on public health. Elderly people, children and individuals suffering from chronic illnesses remain the most vulnerable groups.

In response to the situation, the Ministry of Health has urged citizens to remain vigilant and follow protective measures recommended by specialists from the Institute of Public Health.

Experts stress the importance of staying hydrated, avoiding direct exposure to the sun during peak heat hours and spending time in cool, well-ventilated environments.

Citizens are also advised to wear light clothing and seek immediate medical assistance if they experience symptoms such as dizziness, severe fatigue or difficulty breathing.

According to health authorities, high temperatures are expected to persist in the coming days, making it essential for the public to follow health recommendations and take precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
