Hoxha: Albania Remains Firmly Committed to Reform and Progress

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha shared on X a video message from Prime Minister Edi Rama about Albania’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Hoxha said the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly is underway. He added that the General Debate will begin next Tuesday.

“Against a backdrop of geopolitical pessimism, uncertainty and unpredictability, Albania comes prepared, with a strong sense of responsibility and an unwavering commitment to reform and progress,” Hoxha wrote.

He also highlighted the importance of fulfilling commitments. “Promises matter, but fulfilling them matters more, and that is what makes the difference,” Hoxha said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke in the video message about Albania’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

“For Albania, the Sustainable Development Goals are not a distant promise. They are a daily action plan and are inseparable from our path toward the European Union,” Rama said.
