Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met with Austria’s Federal Minister for Europe Claudia Bauer in Vienna during the high-level ministerial meeting “Slavkov 3 – Western Balkans”.
Hoxha and Bauer discussed Albania’s EU accession process, the country’s ongoing reform agenda and key priorities in the negotiations.
Hoxha expressed Albania’s appreciation for Austria’s long-standing and consistent support for the country’s path toward EU membership and for the European future of the Western Balkans.
He said this support makes an important contribution to building a stronger, more united and fully integrated Europe.
Meanwhile, Minister Bauer highlighted Albania’s progress in the accession negotiations. She described it as a positive example of a process based on the merits of candidate countries.
The meeting also focused on opportunities to further strengthen the two countries’ strong bilateral relations and cooperation. Both sides highlighted their close political dialogue and strong ties.
