Hoxha Meets Mexhiti, Reaffirms Strong Albanian Brotherhood and Cooperation

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha holds a joint press conference with Izet Mexhiti, leader of the Democratic Movement and mayor of Çair.

Hoxha responds to media questions about claims of internal communication regarding Albanians in North Macedonia. He says recent debates are already over. He adds that the situation has evolved. He also says he has already clarified all concerns.

He rejects any misinterpretation of relations and cooperation. He stresses that nothing can damage their partnership.

Hoxha says discussions from last week are outdated. He insists that current relations remain unchanged. He adds that disagreements are normal, even within families.

He emphasizes openness to dialogue at any time. He says cooperation continues in all circumstances.

Hoxha states that no “smoke screen” can come between them as brothers. He adds that nothing can obscure shared goals or essential cooperation.

Mexhiti also responds. He says even families and brothers can have misunderstandings.
