Hoxha: Russian aggression will not weaken Europe’s resolve, security or unity

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha has reacted to the latest attacks in Kyiv and the reported Russian drone incident at Leipzig/Halle Airport in Germany.

Hoxha said the incidents will not weaken Europe’s determination to support Ukraine.

“Russia has once again shown that it will not stop its aggression against Ukraine,” Hoxha said in a social media post.

He pointed to the massive attacks on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. He also highlighted the direct attack on the National University of Food Technologies. According to Hoxha, these attacks form part of a brutal campaign that continues to put civilians at risk.

Meanwhile, Hoxha said Europe and Albania have supported Ukraine since the beginning of the war. He stressed that they must continue this support.

“Ukraine remains the front line of this war,” Hoxha said. However, he warned that Russia’s ambitions extend beyond Ukraine.

Hoxha also referred to the confirmed Russian drone incident in Leipzig. He said the incident shows that Moscow continues to test Europe’s security limits.

Furthermore, he warned that Russia is expanding its destabilizing activities across the continent.

“Threats, aggression and hybrid interference will not weaken Europe’s resolve,” Hoxha said. “They should have the opposite effect: a stronger, more united and more determined Europe.”

“Ukraine is defending its land. Europe is defending its security. We must stand together on both fronts,” he added.
