Albania registered 11,567 new businesses during the first half of 2026, up by 806 from the same period last year.
Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj announced the figures today, saying they reflect growing confidence in Albania’s business environment and stronger interest in launching new economic activities.
“Entrepreneurship continues to grow in Albania. During the first six months of 2026, entrepreneurs registered 11,567 new businesses, 806 more than in the same period last year,” Ibrahimaj said.
She added that the 7.5% increase highlights the country’s expanding entrepreneurial activity.
“Every new business starts with an idea, reflects an initiative, and drives Albania’s economic development forward,” the minister said.
Furthermore, Ibrahimaj stressed that the National Business Center (QKB) supports entrepreneurs by delivering simple, fast, and accessible services that help them start and grow their businesses.
