Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj attended the “Green & Digital Innovation” event and highlighted the growing role of startups in transforming Albania’s economy.
She said startups are helping drive innovation, technology, and sustainable development across the country.
Moreover, Ibrahimaj noted that government support and cooperation with European partners are creating new opportunities for young entrepreneurs. These efforts help them develop products and services for both domestic and international markets.
She also praised the success of Albanian startups such as QELQ, EKOFUNGI, Alter Ego, Brisk Square, and Match4Research. According to Ibrahimaj, these companies demonstrate how Albanian talent and creativity are delivering practical solutions in areas such as the circular economy, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and scientific research.
Furthermore, she stressed that investing in innovation, the knowledge economy, and the green and digital transition strengthens Albania’s competitiveness.
As a result, these investments create new high-value jobs and support long-term economic growth.
The “Green & Digital Innovation” event brought together representatives from public institutions, businesses, and the innovation ecosystem. Participants discussed new technological solutions and sustainable development opportunities for Albania.
Finally, Ibrahimaj emphasized that innovation and entrepreneurship will play a key role in building a more competitive and sustainable future for the country.
