Igli Hasani Hoxha and Albin Kurti Back Strategic National Projects

Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani Hoxha, met Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Sunday. First, they discussed practical steps to deepen cooperation between Albania and Kosovo.

They said strong political ties should bring more direct results for citizens in both countries. Next, Hoxha said they stressed the need to move forward with projects of strategic and national importance.

These projects include the Red and Black Railway. They also include energy and transport corridors. In addition, both sides supported stronger cooperation in education, culture, science, security, defense and diplomacy.

Hoxha also repeated Albania’s full support for Kosovo. He said Albania will continue to stand by Kosovo with commitment, solidarity and a long-term vision.

Finally, he added that stronger cooperation between the two countries is important for democracy, stability and security across the Western Balkans.
