TIRANA, September 3 – Justice Minister Toni Gogu has highlighted the responsibility and daily challenges faced by penitentiary police officers at the Pojska Penitentiary in Pogradec.
In a video shared on social media, Gogu said work in penitentiaries requires constant vigilance, accurate implementation of procedures and careful decision-making in different situations. He said professionals working in the system provide security and reliability through their daily duties.
One of the officers described the difficulties of starting work in a penitentiary. She said officers regularly deal with different situations and conflicts and must adapt to an environment that differs from everyday life outside the institution.
Another officer spoke about balancing her professional responsibilities with family life. A mother of two, she said she manages her duties at work while also finding time to care for and raise her children.
