Kanina offers a scenic stop on the road to southern Albania

TIRANA, August 14 – The road to Vlora offers more than access to the coast. It also gives visitors the chance to enjoy panoramic views along the journey.

At the heights of Kanina, tourists can stop and admire Vlora and its bay. The viewpoint offers a wide panorama stretching from the Narta Lagoon to the rocky slopes of Karaburun.

Meanwhile, the spot has become a popular stop for domestic and foreign visitors during August. Families, couples and other travellers often pause to take photographs and enjoy the view.

The new 29-kilometre bypass has also helped ease traffic in Vlora. The road starts at the roundabout at the end of the Levan-Vlora motorway. It bypasses Kanina to the west, at around 300 metres below the castle.

As a result, the route provides easier access to southern tourist areas while offering views across the Bay of Vlora. Increased traffic during the summer season has made alternative routes increasingly important for visitors heading towards the coast.

Kanina therefore serves both as a route towards Vlora and as a scenic destination in its own right. The combination of accessibility and panoramic views adds another attraction to the summer travel experience.
