Koçiu: Government’s Main Focus Starts with Housing for Young Couples and Families

Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu has presented the government’s new political priority, focusing on improving citizens’ quality of life.

This autumn, the “Social Albania” initiative will launch a new housing program for young couples and families.

As the new political season begins, the government will put “Social Albania” at the center of its agenda. The goal is to turn economic growth into more opportunities, stronger social policies, and greater well-being for citizens.

Koçiu said Albania has entered a new phase of development. She stressed that the government must now go beyond building infrastructure and providing services. Instead, citizens must feel real improvements in their daily lives.

“Our challenge is to ensure that every family feels the improvement in its everyday life,” Koçiu said.

The government will prioritize better education and healthcare. It will also strengthen support for young families, farmers, pensioners, and small businesses.

In addition, the government will create more opportunities for young people who want to build their future in Albania.

Koçiu also said European integration must bring concrete improvements to citizens’ lives. “The European standard must not remain only a goal on paper. Citizens must feel it in every service, every community, and every aspect of daily life,” she said.

As a first concrete step, the government will launch the new housing program for young couples and families this autumn. The program will make housing one of the first priorities of the “Social Albania” initiative.

Through this approach, the government aims to turn economic growth and development into greater opportunities and security for citizens. It will place families, young people, and social well-being at the center of its new policies.
