Koçiu Meets Citizens in Vorë to Discuss EU Integration

Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu meets citizens in Vorë with Taulant Balla. They discuss EU integration and national development.

First, Koçiu says EU membership remains Albania’s main goal. She calls it the final confirmation of Albania’s European identity.

Meanwhile, the government informs citizens daily about reforms. It reports progress in Vorë and across the country. In addition, Albania opens 33 negotiation chapters with the EU. Koçiu highlights strong progress in the accession process.

Next, she says Chapters 23 and 24 on justice and security move toward closure. She expects them to close this year.

Then, she sets a target to close all 33 chapters by 2027. She calls it ambitious but achievable.  Furthermore, Koçiu reports progress in post-earthquake reconstruction. Authorities complete over 400 houses in Vorë. They also build about 60 more homes.

After that, she promises to finish reconstruction in Marqinet. She includes funding in the next budget.

On the economic side, Koçiu says Albania maintains a stable economy. International financial institutions confirm this trend. Moreover, she reports rising wages and foreign investment. The average public sector salary reaches €1,026. Foreign direct investment reaches €1.6 billion.

In addition, GDP rises from €10 billion in 2013 to €23 billion today. She sets a target of €35 billion by 2030. Finally, Koçiu calls for unity and cooperation. She says Albania achieves integration through work, not words.
