TIRANA, July 17 – The Artistic Ensemble “Skanderbeg” from Korça represented Albania at the 59th edition of the International “Festival des Cultures du Monde” in Chambéry, France.
The festival brought together folklore and cultural groups from different parts of the world. The Albanian ensemble presented traditional costumes, music and dances, promoting the cultural heritage of Korça and Albania.
Through their performances, the young artists showcased Albanian traditions and shared the country’s cultural values with an international audience. Their songs and dances highlighted the dedication and talent of the group members.
Meanwhile, Chambéry also hosted the exhibition “Icons of Albania – Treasures from the National Museum of Medieval Art of Korça”. The event created an additional opportunity to promote Albania’s cultural heritage in France.
The 59th edition gathered seven national and international folklore groups. The participating ensembles presented the traditions, music and dances of their countries and regions.
The festival featured groups from New Zealand, Costa Rica, Albania, Sulawesi in Indonesia, Spain, Poland and the United States.
The Artistic Ensemble “Skanderbeg” represented Albanian and Balkan culture through traditional performances and dynamic choreography, joining other groups in a celebration of global cultural diversity.
