Kos: Albania among leaders in EU integration process

Marta Kos said Albania ranks among the leading countries in the EU integration process.

In an interview with Klan News, she spoke about Albania’s progress.

She said the EU may approve interim rule of law benchmarks in May. Then the process of closing chapters can begin. She praised Albania’s progress. She highlighted the opening of all chapter clusters in recent years.

Kos said Albania is on the right path to join the European Union. She praised the government’s strong commitment. She stressed the leadership’s determination.

She noted very high public support. Over 90% of citizens support EU membership. She said no other candidate country shows this level of support. She called this a strong combination. Public backing and government work go together.

Kos said EU membership by 2030 is possible. It depends on continued progress. She added that the European Commission does not set dates. It supports realistic goals.

She confirmed her role clearly. She will support candidate countries to become full EU members. She said she will not accept anything less. She added that there are ten candidate countries under her responsibility.
