Kos: Albania and Montenegro Among EU Integration Front-Runners

European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos expressed optimism about Albania’s progress toward European Union membership.

Speaking at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Poland, Kos described Albania and Montenegro as two of the most advanced countries in the EU enlargement process.

She praised Albania’s progress and noted that the country has reached an advanced stage in its accession negotiations.

Kos said Albania is moving closer to closing negotiation chapters, an important step toward meeting European Union standards.

She emphasized that continued reforms and strong institutional commitment remain essential for the success of the enlargement process.
