Kos: “There Is a Place for Kosovo in the EU, but It Depends on Your Work”

European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos is visiting Pristina today, where she held meetings with Acting President Albulena Haxhiu and acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Following the meeting with Kurti, during a press conference, Kos stated that Kosovo belongs in the European Union and said she would work to make that happen as quickly as possible.

“Of course there is a place for Kosovo in the EU. We do not usually work with dates. The more successful Kosovo is in implementing reforms, and the more successful it is in the Pristina-Belgrade dialogue, the greater the chances that we will be able to start negotiations — that is the political aspect.

I cannot give a specific year, but I am 100% certain and I will work tirelessly with the aim of bringing Kosovo closer and closer to the European Union,” Kos said.
