TIRANA, April 21 – The Government of Kosova approved a draft law on Monday ratifying agreements with the Council of Ministers of Albania for the organisation of the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”. The decision marks a formal step in joint preparations for the event.
Kosova Prime Minister Albin Kurti said the agreements establish a clear framework between the two governments for delivering the Games. He said Kosova will act as host country while Albania will support organisation of sailing events in Durrës.
The government described the cooperation as part of broader coordination to meet obligations linked to the host city contract and international sporting requirements. Officials said the arrangements aim to ensure full implementation of planning commitments.
Kurti said the project increases Kosova’s international profile and supports sport and economic development. He added that the initiative strengthens cooperation with Albania and promotes Kosova on the international stage.
