TIRANA, July 27 – Kosova has secured a €60 million loan for the Olympic Village of the 2030 Mediterranean Games.

French Minister Delegate for Europe Benjamin Haddad announced the agreement after meeting with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosova Glauk Konjufca. The talks focused on bilateral cooperation, regional developments and French support for the organisation of the sporting event.

Haddad said the loan will finance the renovation of the student housing complex, which will serve as the Olympic Village during the games. The project will also include investments in sports facilities and schools near the Student Centre.

The “Prishtina 2030” Mediterranean Games are expected to become the largest international sporting event ever hosted by Kosova. Thousands of athletes from Mediterranean countries will participate.

Preparations include the construction and renovation of sports infrastructure, as well as projects designed to remain operational after the competition ends.
