Kosova Security Force advance team deploys to Gaza for coordination of deployment activities

TIRANA, April 27 – A Kosova Security Force team deployed to Gaza to conduct reconnaissance before troop deployment.

The Kosova Security Force said the visit assessed conditions on the ground. It also coordinated operational preparations for the planned contingent deployment. The unit will operate within the International Stabilization Forces peacekeeping mission in Gaza.

The delegation held meetings with Gaza administration authorities during the visit. It also met coordination teams and representatives of the Civil-Military Coordination Centre under the Peace Board framework. The work followed United Nations Resolution 2803.

The force focused discussions on integration procedures for the contingent. It also covered joint operational planning and logistical support. The Kosova Security Force said it remains committed to international peace and stability with allied partners, including the United States.
