TIRANA, September 1 – Tourist boat trips on Kukës Lake have drawn strong interest during the summer season, the first year of the service. Visitors have used the tours to explore the lake and the area’s natural attractions.
According to boat operator Edmond Bytyçi, requests came from visitors from several countries. Most passengers came from Albania and Kosova, while foreign visitors included Dutch, German and British tourists.
The strong demand has prompted plans to expand the service next season. A second tourist boat has already been secured, while operators also expect to introduce a new Kukës-Fierza route.
The boat service has also promoted Kukës and its natural attractions by offering visitors a different way to explore the lake.
