Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with members of the diaspora, US entrepreneurs and American politicians during his visit to the United States. They discussed opportunities to attract US investment to Kosovo and the diaspora’s role in facilitating these investments.
Kurti highlighted the long-standing contribution of Kosovo’s diaspora in the United States and around the world. He said their support has played an important role in Kosovo’s development and its efforts to build an independent state.
Kurti said Kosovo now offers strong opportunities for investment. He described the country as an independent, sovereign and democratic state with sustainable development opportunities.
He also stressed that members of the diaspora can now contribute through investment. Unlike in previous decades, he said, they no longer need to make sacrifices to support Kosovo. Instead, they can invest and benefit from new economic opportunities.
At an event organized by Data4X and Ed and Barbara Hammel at the residence of Richard Lukaj in Westchester, Kurti met with members of the diaspora, US investors and politicians. Former Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin also attended.
The participants discussed concrete ways to increase US investment in Kosovo. They also examined how the diaspora can help connect investors with opportunities in the country.
“During the evening organized with Data4X and Ed and Barbara Hammel at the residence of Richard Lukaj in Westchester, we discussed concrete opportunities and ways to increase US investment in Kosovo, together with members of the diaspora, US investors and politicians,” Kurti wrote on Facebook.
He added that Kosovo aims to strengthen its position as a reliable partner for investors and provide support for new investment projects.
