Kurti shares photo with Trump: US is Kosovo’s main ally and indispensable partner

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has shared a photo of himself with US President Donald Trump and his wife, Rita Augestad Knudsen.

In his post, Kurti said the meeting took place on the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly.

“I had the honour of meeting the President of the United States of America, Mr Donald J. Trump, for the first time,” Kurti wrote.

According to the Kosovo prime minister, during the meeting he thanked Trump for the increase in defence spending within NATO, stressing that Kosovo also aspires to join the Atlantic Alliance.

“The United States of America is the main ally, indispensable partner and special friend of the Republic of Kosovo,” Kurti wrote in his post.
