Lezha and Bra sign twinning agreement

TIRANA, June 16 – The Municipality of Lezha and the Municipality of Bra in Italy signed a twinning agreement that aims to strengthen ties between the two communities and expand cooperation in several areas.

Lezha Mayor Pjerin Ndreu and Bra Mayor Giovanni Fogliato signed the agreement in the presence of institutional representatives, members of the Italian delegation, and Albanians who live and work in the area. The initiative also recognizes the contribution of the Lezha community in Bra.

Ndreu thanked the local community and authorities for supporting the integration of Albanians into daily life in Italy.

Meanwhile, Fogliato said the agreement will encourage cooperation in culture, education, tourism, and economic development. He added that the partnership will create new opportunities for citizens in both countries.

In addition, the twinning agreement opens the way for joint projects in several fields of mutual interest.

During the official visit, the Italian delegation and Mayor Pjerin Ndreu visited some of Lezha’s main landmarks.
