TIRANA, August 19 – Lin, a picturesque village on the shores of Lake Ohrid, continues to attract thousands of local and foreign visitors throughout the year. Located around 22 kilometres from Pogradec, the village combines natural scenery with local heritage and traditions.
Perched on a hillside, Lin features traditional houses, narrow streets and panoramic views of the lake. Meanwhile, its small beaches offer clear water, sand and pebbles surrounded by greenery.
One of the main attractions is the Early Christian Basilica of Lin, a 6th-century monument known for its rare mosaic. The restored mosaic represents one of the area’s most valuable cultural heritage sites.
Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of Lin on social media and highlighted its combination of thousands of years of history, heritage and nature.
As a result, the village has become one of Pogradec’s distinctive tourist destinations.
