French President Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed France’s support for Albania’s European Union integration after meeting Prime Minister Edi Rama in Paris.
Following the talks, Macron highlighted the growing ties between France and Albania. He pointed to progress in innovation, education, higher education, culture, and tourism as evidence of the close relationship between the two countries.
Furthermore, Macron said France and Albania aim to give new momentum to their partnership. He stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in the economic and defense sectors.
Finally, the French president reiterated France’s commitment to supporting Albania’s EU membership aspirations. He also encouraged the continuation of reforms needed to advance the country’s path toward the European Union.
