Measures for the Tourist Season: Vlora Reintroduces Traffic Lights After Many Years

Vlora is bringing back traffic lights after many years in an effort to ease traffic on the city’s most problematic roads.

For the first time in a long period, traffic lights will be installed at several key road intersections as part of measures aimed at improving circulation and preventing heavy congestion during the tourist season.

Initially, the traffic lights will be tested on roads such as the Transbalkan Road, the Skela roundabout, and Hospital Road — areas that for years have experienced heavy vehicle flow and traffic difficulties.

According to authorities, the project is expected to expand later to other main roads in the city, depending on the effectiveness of this testing phase.
