TIRANA, July 23 – Albania’s Ministry of Defence has described military education as an investment in the country’s Euro-Atlantic future. The statement followed the graduation of 67 new officers from the Armed Forces Academy. The class included 10 officers from Kosova.
The graduation ceremony took place on Tuesday evening at the “Skanderbeg” garrison. Prime Minister Edi Rama attended the event. Defence Minister Ermal Nufi also took part. Kosova Defence Minister Ejup Maqedonci joined senior military officials, diplomats, military attachés, lecturers and family members.
Meanwhile, Nufi congratulated the graduates on completing the one-year Officer Preparation Course. He said Albania had gained a new generation of officers. The minister said they are ready to serve the country and represent its flag with dignity. He described the Armed Forces Academy as an institution that builds leaders through duty, honour and professionalism.
In addition, Nufi thanked the academy’s lecturers and instructors for preparing the new officers. He also thanked their families for supporting them throughout the programme. The minister said the graduates carry not only military rank but also the trust of the nation. Finally, he thanked the Albanian government, the Ministry of Defence and Kosova’s defence minister for supporting the academy. He said their presence reflected support for military education and defence cooperation.
