TIRANA, August 13 – Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari, Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja, and Saranda Mayor Oltion Çaçi visited tourism measures in Saranda.
Lamallari said rising tourist numbers bring greater responsibility for the State Police. He stressed the need to protect residents and visitors. He also called for rapid responses to requests for assistance.
Meanwhile, the minister said authorities would show zero tolerance for illegal activity, mostly including any criminal activity and road safety violations. Lamallari stressed the importance of fast and professional police responses.
In addition, he highlighted cooperation between central and local institutions. Lamallari said all authorities share responsibility for a safe and quality tourist season.
The visit also covered public spaces and beaches. Authorities reviewed accessibility and safety for visitors and compliance with noise regulations. The measures aim to protect the peace and rights of residents and tourists.
At the same time, the Interior Ministry said it continues implementing tourism measures with responsible institutions and local authorities. The aim is to ensure a safe, orderly and quality tourist season. Authorities also want domestic and foreign visitors to leave with positive impressions and return to Albania.
