More than 200 artists to perform during 10-day VjosArt festival in Albania

TIRANA, May 7 – More than 200 artists from Albania and across the region will perform during the 2026 edition of the VjosArt festival. The 10-day event combines art, tourism and environmental awareness along the Vjosa River.

The festival will take place from May 21 to May 31 across several locations connected to the Vjosa National Park, including Përmet, Bylis, Fier and Vlora. Organisers say the programme will bring together Albanian and international performers, environmental activists and tourists.

Prime Minister Edi Rama described VjosArt as an international festival that promotes nature protection and artistic expression. In a social media post, he said the event will feature 10 days of performances and 10 different artistic genres in urban areas along the Vjosa River.

The programme includes live concerts, art exhibitions, outdoor sports activities and environmental forums. Organisers also plan to promote traditional local products during the festival. According to organisers, the event aims to support sustainable tourism and strengthen the cultural identity of southern Albania.

Known as Europe’s last wild river, the Vjosa River continues to attract growing interest from visitors seeking nature tourism and outdoor activities.
