TIRANA, August 14 – Morocco has lifted visa requirements for Albanian citizens travelling for short stays. The decision takes effect on August 15, 2026.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs said Morocco’s competent authorities had informed Albania of the decision. Morocco’s embassy accredited to Albania and based in Rome delivered the notification.
The measure follows a commitment in a Joint Declaration signed on March 1, 2025. Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad signed the declaration with Albania’s then Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani.
The new measure allows Albanian citizens to travel to Morocco for short stays without obtaining a visa in advance.
